Huge thanks to
John Lefley for
these brochures

Aaro Travella. Very interesting price list from 1979. Including V.A.T. these were:
17' £4678 ( £17053 today) and 23' £7068 ( £25766 today) .... see the 'extras' below !!

These trailers may not have been 'coach built', but they were very popular and provided comfortable spacious homes and were after all, a lot of trailer for the money !

These prices illustrate the vast difference there was between the 'best' trailers. In 1979 Mr Rodney Smith paid £23,500 for a Westmorland Star (no 257) thats £85,688 now and Mr Jim Howard paid £25,000 for number 258
thats £91,137 now !

the prices of 'optional extras' on the 23' model

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £1 in 1979 = £3.65 now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

note how expensive the mirrors were:
on unit tops £182 thats £663 today.
What must the mirrors in Vickers &
  Westmorland Stars have cost ??
