THE PHRASE USED BY TRAVELLERS TO DESCRIBE A CHEAP OR UGLY TRAILER IS "ITS GOT NEITHER SHAPE NOR MAKE"
THAT CANNOT BE SAID FOR THE TRAILER BELOW, IT CERTAINLY HAS STYLE, SHAPE AND MAKE.........
AN ECCLES ARBORETUM.
notice the chrome legs and 'bumper', early 'flash' !!
This was clearly a very fine trailer.
By coincidence this trailer is seen in the photo
below taken at Yarm Fair in 1938
AN ECCLES VAN
large grapes cut into the windows and inward opening door.
ON A FEW YEARS......A 50's VICKERS LUNEDALE 22'
This model had a pull down out of wall separation from kitchen bed.
Many of these had the kitchen at the front but this one was at the back. Note the low roof at front and rear, later heightened to allow for china cabinets to be fitted at each end of the trailer.
